All This Wedding Talk…

My mind is on weddings. As this fall season is upon us I can’t help but think of all the weddings that have taken place in the autumn. In my opinion, it is the best time to get married. Not just because Joseph and I got married four years ago today {!}, but autumn to me represents warmth and home and family - and football {just for you Joseph}!

jessica-claire-photographyThis weekend Andy and Allie are celebrating their wedding together with the family. Just around the corner, Maggie and Rob will celebrate their FIRST anniversary! They are remenesing about those memories on a trip to Maine - just in time for the leaves to change color. You can read about their wedding in a nice article featured in The Knot. Every bride’s dream!

Dad sent me a great site for wedding photography - Jessica Claire. Her site is so beautiful and so are her pictures! They almost made me cry - like I was there with the family watching these people get married. I think that is a sign of a good photographer. What an inspiration! Check out her website here.

Rockies vs SF Giants

Rockies vs SF Giants

{ Rockies vs SF Giants William, Joseph, Cory, and Jess}

T-Mobile

This is a horrible picture taken by my phone. Although my phone has been loyal and true, I am daydreaming {and planning} of the day I get an iPhone. Think Holiday season… I’m dreaming big!

What a fun weekend! I am still upset about missing Brandon & Katie’s wedding {I am anticipating Dave’s great pictures}, but this weekend has proved to be nice and relaxing.

Whether it was hanging out with friends at Vine Street and having a beer, eating brunch with crazy CSU fans {and hipsters}, GoodWill “hunting” as dad would say, cheering on the Rockies with Joseph’s brother, William, or dodging the crowds at The Taste of Colorado, there was plenty of stuff to keep me busy and away from my desk.

Needless to say I didn’t do any work AT ALL. And it feels good not to be stressing about it. I have Jaren to thank for that. I feel a sense of release after hearing her say she is letting go of those stressful feelings. At our place of work it is difficult to have that detachment, as we are all over achievers with high expectations. After all, it is just a job and I have to be cognizant of that.

Latte Art on Martha Stewart

Joseph and I tried our hand at creating masterpieces in our customer’s morning espresso drinks, but the best I could get was a few squiggles. But look at these amazing portraits! If you have ever seen the barista competitions on the Food Network, these portraits mean more than just a smile on your customer’s face… they can win lots of money and hold the title of the best barista EVER! Thanks MS for always inspiring!

J.Crew Prague Video

Maybe J.Crew should start making feature length films. I cannot tell you how much I adore their promotional video on their website. It is directed by Tom + Coliena accompanied by Sunny Sunday by Leona Naess {who I love}.

The movie not only makes me want to finally visit Prague {we almost went when we were in Ireland}, but I would love to watch a film about these characters. I can just imagine the story, the cafe, the train, the field, the city, the clothes… and of course it would be a strange entangled European love story. What else would it be? I adore the child with the red and white balloons, the vintage cameras, and the travel books… ah… how lovely.

Please watch - and imagine yourself wondering Prague without any cares… and in J.Crew clothes

The Teen Vogue Look - Uber Preppy

I don’t know when looking preppy became so cool {check out Teen VOGUE}. Maybe everyone just watched School Ties and made the decision to where collar shirts, ties, and sweaters. Speaking of, I am missing the new season of Gossip Girl. There is evil plotting going on {in Prada}, I’m sure.

I’m still waiting for my Elizabeth Silk Halter…

Changing Gears… Even though it is blazing hot during the day, when that sun sets I can feel hints of fall in the air. That’s right! I love fall and I want it now! I couldn’t believe when Joseph and I were at Kinko’s and Target we saw Halloween stationary, t-shirts, and stuffed animal key chains. I think I’m going to fill my house with Halloween decorations from TJ Max and Homegoods - yea for gift certificates!

Maybe have a Halloween Part-ay at the flat with themed cocktails, just for Jaren {and Martha}. I’ll keep you posted. Muhaha.

Joseph’s Soccer Game!

Joseph's Soccer Game - 07

{ Joseph’s Soccer Game - 07 }

Joseph is back in baby! George finally got Joseph on the field, a pretty nice field, to play for his league at Dick’s Sporting Good park. This is the location where the Rapids play for the MLS.

I got to chill out on the sidelines with my friend from work. Her husband also plays soccer. I honestly think this is the best way to start a Sunday morning. It was so beautiful! Look for yourself and see Joseph and George HERE.

Joseph played hard and will be sore tomorrow, but I know he felt really good out there and making his father proud!!!
