{ Camping Johnny Park - Mark, Jess, Joseph, Erin, Nico }
After the festival Jess, Mark, Erin, Joseph, Nico {their dog}, and I drove a bit down the road to a fun camping spot called Johnny Park. Despite our lack of 4-wheeling capabilities, we managed to make it up the path to a nice little camp site.
Mark and Erin made fantastic tacos with soy “crumbles” and a mixture of bell peppers. I was amazing by how tasty those soy crumbles were! When it was officially dark outside, thanks to Mark’s time keeping skills, we busted out the mallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. We took turns using the fancy s’more forks that Judy gave us a few years ago. It is by far the BEST invention ever! Thanks Jude!
After sharing our encounters with ghosts {they were pretty lame ghost stories} we headed to our tents for a night of quiet sleep under the stars. I couldn’t believe I made it through the night without going to the bathroom once! I was so proud… and I wasn’t too cold. We had Joseph’s fleece Chicago Bears blanket as a back-up.
The entire weekend was fun - beautiful weather, great friends, scary stories, yummy s’mores - it was a perfect way to wrap up the weekend.
